| | All of our courses are designed to help you gain the knowledge
that you need. You will be proficient in placement and the methods, as to how to
calculate the demand and size of your home needs and match that to your system size.
We also will demonstrate that all need not be done in a day or at once. The system is
modular and it can be added to at any time in the future with now real penalty
for not doing so all at the time.
- Our 1 day introductory Course
-
Our one day course will be setup as an in class study for
the morning and after lunch break we will be outside at the displays
and study the wiring and the components and explain the uses of each and how they fit into our system. It will appeal to those who would
like to understand more and with an eye on maybe doing the install
themselves.
- Our 2 day introductory and basic installation
methods wiring and codes
-
Our two day course will go much more in depth with the
mechanisms that take place in the cells to generate electricity and
then on to the needs of designing a complete system. Participants will learn
about the safeguards that need to be in place once the system is
ready for inspection and how to go about setting up the arrays in the
most advantageous spots and methods. There will be in-depth time spent
on wiring the system and the use of proper code and wiring practice.
There will be significant time on the differences between DC and AC power and
the safety factors when using each.
- Our Home Energy Audit with infrared thermal
imagining
-
SWAEC offers a service where we come to your home and using infrared camera
technology to show you where all the hot spots are and just where
the heat escapes from your home. The energy audit results will help you
plan renovations
that can be specifically directed towards where your biggest
gain to be achieved for the value of your investment. This will also show you the one small secret about
solar panels and that is they produce large quantities of heat beneath
them. Since this area beneath them can be boxed in and then drawn into
the home it can also serve to become a good source for free heat in
daylight hours. Free heat is always a good thing.
